Whether your utility bills are too high, you want to reduce your reliance on utility companies or you just want your home to be more comfortable, we can help!
Using our diagnostic tools, our BPI Certified Professionals will perform a comprehensive Home Energy Audit to determine what areas need to be addressed. We will then prioritize needed upgrades based on cost effectiveness, comfort improvements, and budget. Our technicians will explain the tests we are doing, the results of those tests, and what they mean for your home. We will provide you with a detailed audit report that will show you exactly where you can make improvements, their relative difficulty and their priority. Click to see a sample audit report.
We assess the following areas while evaluating the energy consumption of your home. We can then facilitate the upgrades you need to make your home as energy efficient as possible.

Blower Door Test
The blower door test provides information on the air leakage in your home, this can give us an idea of how much of your heating and cooling costs can be reduced due to sealing these leaks.
Leaky homes can be addressed by air sealing can lights, outlets and cracks and holes in the attic and basement. |
Pressure Pan Test
This test can give us an idea of how leaky your ducts are and whether there are any significant problems with your duct work. Leaky ducts can be a huge cause of discomfort, uneven temperatures and high utility bills.
Leaky ducts can be sealed using tape and mastic for ducts that are exposed, or through an aerosol based sealing system like Aeroseal. |
Zonal Pressure Test
The Zonal Pressure Test can show the differences in pressure between rooms and sections of your house. This can show us if particular areas of the house are leakier than others, as well as determining causes of discomfort.
Differences in pressure can be addressed by sealing air leaks to the outside or adding more insulation between that room and the outside. |
Infrared Thermal Imaging
Infrared Cameras can help visually detect problem areas in your home. When used in conjunction with a blower door test, infrared testing allows a certified energy professional to determine where additional insulation is needed, or where your walls may be lacking insulation. Infrared imaging can also show where you have significant air leakage.
Testing with thermal imaging cameras can reduce the cost of making energy improvements because a qualified auditor can quickly find and narrow down the areas that need more attention. |
